Manufacturing System Engineer (Jr. Level)

Basic Responsibilities:

Applies computer software programming, network and database skills to recommend, program, troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing, new developmental and production equipment control logic. Assist John Fu, Manufacturing System Engineer, to develop and maintain plant wide MES system (Manufacturing Executive System), provide yield, defects, SPC data, downtime, non-standard, changeover, OEE, FPY, MTBF, MTTR etc production information to prioritize, address and resolve production issues. Work with John Fu, Manufacturing System Engineer, to program and trouble shoot all plant floor computers, scanners, barcode printers, wireless network and production database. Assist process engineering providing manufacturing/assembly expertise.  Respond to the individual needs of plant personnel requesting help in a professional manner.


Computer Science diploma preferred.  Three year college diploma with two to five years experience in emphasis on computer programming.  Previous manufacturing experience and PLC programming is an asset. Preference is given to Invensys Wonderware and Windows 7 Professional experience. Must be a quick learner. Must have knowledge of design, programming, network, SQL database, C++, C.Net, and computers.  Communicate effectively both written and verbal with associates, peers, managers, and technical personnel.  Good planner and organizer to be able to complete multiple tasks
